TrueMud™ Mixing Technology
Flameless, non-scaling heat can be achieved with the TrueMud™ Mixing
System. This innovative technology incorporates the Shockwave Power
Reactor® that transfers energy directly to fluid. This technology can be
used for microscopic dynamic mixing of chemicals and polymers and to
heat the fluid to 120°F (or more as required) to allow centrifuging
operations to run more efficiently.
Testing Completed In the Gulf of Mexico
Liquid Mud Mixing
 |
Recent testing of the full scale trailer mounted unit have confirmed
heating times of less that an hour to bring 250 bbls of synthetic
drilling fluid to 120°F. This also resulted in a 400% increase in fluid
rheological properties.
Below is the documentation for the mixing/heating test.

The results yielded a 400% increase in
fluid properties after heating and mixing. The time to heat the fluid
was also considerably less that anticipated.
Heating to Feed the Centrifuge
 |
The TrueMud™ Mixer was also utilized to feed 120°F fluid to the
centrifuge at 2 to 3 barrels per minute and realized a 10 to 15 %
increase in efficiency for the centrifuge enabling a better cut and
increased rates in the centrifuging of synthetic fluids.
14.6 ppg fluid was fed to the centrifuge for each of the tests.
